Description

The Ministry of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources of Ecuador has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to Support the Advancement of Change in Ecuador's Energy Matrix. This call aims to hire consulting services to execute energy audits and strengthen the technical capacities in energy efficiency in ten companies in the shrimp and cocoa sectors, promoting the adoption of Energy Management Systems aligned with the ISO 50001 Standard.

Scope of the consultancy
Energy audits: Carrying out technical diagnoses and improvement plans in ten selected agro-industries to optimize their energy performance.

Specialized training: Design and implementation of training programs in energy efficiency and energy management best practices.

Management under standards: Generation of technical inputs for the implementation of Energy Management Systems based on the ISO 50001 Standard.

Institutional integration: Articulation of the results with the Program for the Improvement of Electric Power Distribution Systems for the registration and monitoring of savings goals.

Qualification Requirements
General experience: Proven track record in energy audits, energy efficiency or sustainability projects in productive sectors, with an accumulated amount of at least $150,000.00 in the last ten (10) years.

Specific experience: Execution of consultancies in implementation, training or auditing of Energy Management Systems under the ISO 50001 Standard, with a minimum accumulated amount of $75,000.00 in the last seven (7) years.

Technical documentation: Presentation of certificates of compliance, signed contracts or delivery-receipt minutes that accredit the institutional experience requested.

Partnerships: Interested parties may enter into joint ventures or include subcontractors to strengthen their qualifications and technical capacity.

Short list: The process seeks to form a list of between five (5) and eight (8) eligible firms under the IDB's selection policies.
