Description
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is seeking to hire a consulting firm to carry out the comprehensive topographic and bathymetric survey of a 27 km stretch of the Nanay River, in Iquitos. This study is essential to generate the necessary technical basis for the hydraulic modeling of the area, with special emphasis on the protection of the critical sanitation infrastructure of SEDALORETO.
1. Topographic survey with LiDAR technology
The consultancy will carry out the mapping of the banks and floodplains through the use of drones:
Scope: A strip of at least 2 km on both banks of the river (reaching up to 4 km on the right bank adjacent to the city of Iquitos).
Accuracy: Use of LiDAR sensors to guarantee high performance in data capture, tied to a network of 10 GNSS control points (BM of order C) monumented in the field.
Products: Generation of high-resolution orthophotos and 360° videos/photos of the intervention area.
2. Bathymetric survey and determination of LCO
The study of the river bottom will be carried out following the SEHINAV N° 01 technical standard:
Bathymetry: Measurement of flow, preferably in the flood season, from the mouth of the Amazon (0+000) to Santa Clara (27+800).
Ordinary Crescent Line (LCO): Determination of the LCO based on SEHINAV No. 03 regulations, using historical series from SENAMHI and data from the H-SEDALORETO hydrological station.
Control Point: Establishment of a specific flood control at the SEDALORETO pumping station.
3. Complementary activities and modeling
The project ensures the total integration of the data for subsequent use in engineering:
Technical junction: Execution of the precise junction between the surface topography and the bathymetry of the river bed.
Current measurement (Optional): Flow velocity measurement campaigns to determine current lines, especially in the WWTP and catchment plant sectors.
Deliverables: Detailed final drawings, georeferenced database under the EGM 96 Geoid and complete multimedia records for technical supervision.
Note: Interested companies should review the specific UTM coordinates and SEHINAV technical standards detailed in the BEO Bidder Portal.
