Description
The Salto Grande Joint Technical Commission has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the execution of the Salto Grande Binational Hydroelectric Complex Modernization Program – Stage II-A. This ambitious project seeks to ensure the long-term reliability and efficiency of one of the main sources of renewable energy in the region.
The purpose of this tender is the hiring of a specialized firm for the integral design, provision of high-tech equipment and assembly of the beach transmission and power infrastructure of the complex. The estimated period for the execution of the works is 1604 days.
Highlights of this international process include:
Contracting Modality: International Public Bidding (LPI) under the two-envelope system, with deferred opening of the economic proposal, guaranteeing transparency and technical quality.
Technical Scope: Includes detailed engineering design, supply of electromechanical power components and specialized on-site assembly.
Seriousness Guarantee: A Bid Maintenance Guarantee in the amount of USD $52,894,116.00 is mandatory.
Eligibility: The process is open to all bidders from IDB member countries that meet the financial and technical qualification criteria established in the terms of bid.
