Construction of works to improve the drinking water system and individual sanitation in El Zapote canton, El Carrizal and Huateras hamlets, Jucuarán district, Usulután Este municipality, Usulután department

Description

The Ministry of Tourism of El Salvador has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the Program to Support the Recovery and Expansion of the Tourism Sector in El Salvador. This national public call invites bids for the execution of water infrastructure and rural sanitation works in prioritized communities.

Scope of the offer
- Lot 1 (Caserío El Carrizal): Comprehensive construction of a drinking water system that includes the drilling and equipping of a 90-meter well, a 150 m³ storage tank, pumping stations, distribution networks and connections. It also includes sanitary modules with individual systems (biodigesters and septic tanks). The term is 360 days.

- Lot 2 (Caserío Huateras): Improvement of the existing drinking water system by replacing pumping equipment, rehabilitation of distribution networks and optimization of the current tank. It includes the same solution of individual sanitary modules as Lot 1. The term is 360 days.

- Technical tests: Both batches require mandatory watertightness, cleaning and deep disinfection tests of the intervened networks.

Qualification Requirements
- Batch structure: The process is divided into two (2) independent batches. The requirements for experience, personnel and minimum amounts will be evaluated proportionally according to the lot (or combination of lots) to which the company decides to apply.

- Financial capacity: Presentation of audited financial statements for the period 2021–2025, demonstrating an adequate annual turnover and minimum liquid assets equivalent to 20% of the total amount of the offer.

- Company experience: Accreditation of previous contracts as main contractor in water, civil or sanitary infrastructure works, covering both general and specific experience in projects of similar magnitude.

- Key personnel: Availability of a professional team led by Civil Engineers for the roles of Management/Coordination, Project Residency and Quality Control, with proven technical experience in the sector.

- Warranty: All offers must be accompanied by a Statement of Bid Maintenance.
