Purchase of Pipes, Fittings and Accessories for PVC Ø315 mm Raw Water Line and PVC Ø400 mm Transmission Main

The Republic of Suriname has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to support the Water Supply Modernization Program, and intends to apply part of the proceeds to this procurement.

The executing agency, Surinaamsche Waterleiding Maatschappij (SWM), invites eligible bidders to supply key infrastructure components aimed at upgrading the national water distribution network. This procurement focuses on the provision of high-diameter PVC pipes and specialized accessories required for both raw water conveyance and transmission systems.

Scope of Supply
This procurement, under the water and sanitation sector, includes the supply of:

PVC Ø315 mm pipes and accessories for the development of a raw water line;
PVC Ø400 mm pipes and accessories for a primary transmission main;
Fittings and related components necessary for the complete installation and operation of the system.

Bidding and Qualification Requirements
The process will be conducted through International Competitive Bidding (ICB) in accordance with IDB Procurement Policies and is open to bidders from eligible countries.

Key requirements include:

Submission of completed price schedules in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders (ITB);
Provision of a Bid Security Declaration;
Demonstration of eligibility and technical compliance with the bidding documents.

A margin of preference for national contractors or joint ventures will not be applied. Bids must be submitted physically, as electronic submissions are not permitted.
