Description
Suriname, through the Surinaamsche Waterleiding Maatschapij, has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the "Water Supply Modernization Program". This National Competitive Bidding (NCB) notice invites eligible bidders to submit sealed bids for the supply of water infrastructure materials.
Scope of supply
Main objective: Procurement of pipes, fittings, and accessories destined for the District Metered Area (DMA) Flora.
Qualification requirements and conditions
Regulatory framework: The process will be conducted in accordance with National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures established in the IDB Policies for the Procurement of Goods and Works.
Evaluation criteria: Compliance with administrative and technical requirements, including the submission of a Letter of Bid, price schedules, proof of authorized signatory (e.g., Chamber of Commerce extract), and documentary evidence establishing the bidder's eligibility and the goods' conformity.
Margin of preference: A margin of preference will be granted to national contractors or joint ventures.
Guarantee required: Bids must obligatorily be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration.
Submission and bidding process
Access to documents: The complete bidding documents in English will be delivered via email upon written request.
Submission modality: Bids must be delivered physically in sealed envelopes. Electronic submissions will not be permitted, and late bids will be rejected. The public bid opening will take place with the option for bidders' representatives to attend in person or online.
