Updated tender - Specialized consulting services for technical assistance in project management and preparation of detailed engineering studies for road expansion projects to 4 lanes

Description

The Republic of Guatemala has requested financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to strengthen the country's road infrastructure and intends to use part of these funds for the contracting of high-level technical consulting services.

The Ministry of Communications, Infrastructure and Housing (CIV), through the General Directorate of Roads (DGC), is looking for consulting firms to provide comprehensive technical assistance in the management of projects (technical, procurement, socio-environmental and financial) and to prepare feasibility studies and detailed engineering for the expansion of roads to 4 lanes. The objective is to increase the operational capacity of the planning area in the execution of infrastructure programs with external financing.

A short list of five (5) to eight (8) firms will be formed. Interested companies must demonstrate their capacity through the following documentation:

Specific Experience: Curriculum vitae of the firm detailing administration or support services in road infrastructure projects with external financing (experience in the Central American region will be especially valued).

Road Design: Verifiable experience in feasibility studies and detailed engineering for roads of 4 or more lanes.

Financial Capacity: Presentation of audited balance sheets for the last three administrations (2022, 2023 and 2024).

Legal Status: Complete legal documentation, including articles of incorporation and powers of attorney.

Firms may participate individually or partner through a Joint Venture (APCA) to strengthen their ratings. The selection will be made in accordance with the IDB's Consulting Policies.
