Description
The Republic of El Salvador has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the Universal Energy Access Program in El Salvador. The executing body, the Lempa River Hydroelectric Executive Commission (CEL), leads this strategic initiative that seeks to close the electricity access gap in rural communities and areas with special connection needs through modern and safe infrastructure.
The project is a comprehensive contract that requires the contractor to be in charge of everything from the technical design to the commissioning of the electrical networks. This includes pole installation, wiring, transformer assembly, and integral switchboards, ensuring previously isolated communities have reliable power service. The estimated period for the execution of these works is 24 months.
Services include:
Design and plans: Preparation of detailed engineering plans for the extension of the electricity networks in the selected communities.
Supply of materials: Provision of high-quality poles, conductors, transformer equipment and control panels.
Construction and assembly: Execution of civil and electromechanical works, using specialized tools and equipment.
Qualified personnel: Hiring of expert technical teams to ensure that the installations comply with national and international electrical safety standards.
The tender is carried out under the National Public Tender (LPN) modality. Interested bidders can obtain the bidding documents free of charge through the CEL and IDB websites. It is a prerequisite that all tenders are accompanied by a Declaration of Maintenance of the Tender.
Note: Tender documents and technical specifications are available in the official language of the country.
