Description
The Ministry of Health, of Jamaica has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) toward the cost of the Support for the Health Systems Strengthening for the Prevention and Care Management of Non-Communicable Diseases Programme. This invitation for bids is issued under the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) method to procure the supply and delivery of high-quality hospital beds designated for the Spanish Town Hospital.
Scope of the procurement
Target goods: Complete supply, delivery, and distribution of medical hospital beds tailored to institutional healthcare requirements.
Delivery site: Spanish Town Hospital, Jamaica.
Procurement framework: Conducted via International Competitive Bidding (ICB) in strict compliance with the IDB’s Procurement Policies for Goods and Works.
Qualification requirements
Technical experience: Bidders must prove the successful completion of at least two (2) contracts of a similar nature and complexity within the last seven (7) years. In Joint Venture (JVCA) structures, this requirement may be met collectively.
Financial capability: Submission of certified audited financial statements (or acceptable equivalents) covering the last three (3) consecutive years to demonstrate a sound financial standing. For JVCA arrangements, each individual member must meet this criteria independently.
Margin of preference: No margin of preference will be granted to national contractors or local joint ventures.
Bid security: All submitted proposals must be accompanied by a formal Bid Security Declaration.
System registration: Interested suppliers must register on the Government of Jamaica e-Procurement system (GOJEP) at www.gojep.gov.jm to request and download the full set of bidding documents.
