Description

The Republic of Ecuador has requested financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the PROVIAL 2 Rural Roads Program. The Banco del Estado invites eligible consulting firms to express their interest in providing supervision and inspection services of the work for the execution of the project called "Road Asphalting El Eno – Nueva Juventud Section". The scope of the service includes the technical, administrative and financial control of the works in a section of 13.35 km to ensure compliance with the established specifications and quality standards.

Scope of the consultancy
The services are part of the Transport sector and include the supervision of:

- Road infrastructure: Preliminary works, soil improvement, pavement structure and complementary works.

- Drainage systems: Longitudinal and transverse drainage control.

- Signage: Supervision of horizontal and vertical signage.

- Major works: Inspection of structural works (bridge) and containment (gabion walls).

- Equipment: Supervision of the construction of bus stops.

Qualification Requirements
The selection will be made in accordance with the IDB's Policies for the Selection and Hiring of Consultants:

- Technical experience: Detail of experience in supervision and/or inspection services of construction, expansion or rehabilitation of road works with asphalt layer, executed in the last 15 years.

- Project information: It must include the object of the work, the amount of the contract, execution dates, contracting entity and a brief description of the work.

- Partnerships: Consultants may join forces or include subcontractors to improve their qualifications.
