1.1.12.1 Improvement of the CHA29E route, section: Los Planes-Miramundo and CHA32S, section: Miramundo-Río Chiquito, districts of La Palma and San Ignacio, department of Chalatenango

Description

The Republic of El Salvador has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the Rural Roads Program. This call for International Public Bidding (LPI), managed by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, invites eligible bidders to submit firm bids for the execution of road infrastructure works.

Scope of the offer
- Road work: Comprehensive execution of the project to improve and stabilize routes CHA29E (Section: Los Planes - Miramundo) and CHA32S (Section: Miramundo - Río Chiquito).

- Geographical location: The interventions will be developed specifically in the jurisdictions of the districts of La Palma and San Ignacio, within the department of Chalatenango.

- Execution period: The estimated time for the construction and final delivery of the road works is 12 months.

Qualification requirements and assessment points

- Financial capacity: Verifiable availability of liquid assets or credit lines free of other commitments for a minimum amount of USD 2,600,000.00. In addition, the audited balance sheets for the last five (5) years must be presented.

- Required annual turnover: Prove an average annual turnover in construction works of at least USD 9,122,700.00 during the last five (5) years.

- General experience: Minimum track record of ten (10) years in civil construction activities, counted as of January 1, 2016, either as a main contractor, APCA member, subcontractor or administrator.

- Specific experience: Certify the substantial completion of at least two (2) contracts for works similar in nature, complexity and technical magnitude in the period since January 2016.

- Personnel and equipment: Demonstrate the assignment and availability of the key heavy equipment and qualified professional personnel required in the technical specifications of the process.

- Sustainability of the offer: It is mandatory to accompany the proposal with a Statement of Maintenance of the Offer.
