Description

The Republic of El Salvador, through the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT), has requested financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the Rural Roads Program. This tender seeks to contract technical and administrative supervision services for the improvement of key routes in the department of La Unión. The project is essential to ensure that the paving works with hydraulic concrete and drainage meet quality standards, facilitating safe and efficient transportation in the rural sections of the east of the country.

Scope of the consultancy

- Road improvement: Supervision of routes UNL10E and UNL35E, specifically in section CA01E (Dv. El Nance) to Dv. Barrancones Piedras Blancas.

- Infrastructure: Quality control in paving with hydraulic concrete, passage works and major and minor drainage systems.

- Location: District of Pasaquina, department of La Unión.

- Management: Comprehensive monitoring of contractual, administrative, social and environmental compliance during the execution of the works.

Qualification Requirements

- Specific experience: Demonstrate at least 2 supervision projects in construction, reconstruction or improvement of roads paved with hydraulic concrete with lengths greater than or equal to 8 km.

- Maintenance projects: They will be valid only if they included paving/repaving, length greater than or equal to 8 km and a construction amount greater than or equal to US$10,000,000.00.

- Project evaluation: Works will be considered completed or at least 80% complete within the period from April 2016 to April 2026.

- Mandatory submission: Expressions of interest must be submitted exclusively in printed format and in physical form. Email submissions and download links will not be accepted.
