Description
The objectives of the consultancy are to increase the profitability, improve the resilience to shocks (weather, pests and diseases, market), and improve the environmental sustainability of farms. To achieve these objectives, the project has been structured in three components: sustainable productive innovation; market innovation; and digital information and process management.
Description of services:
(i) Implement an inductive course for young candidates for rural promotion on topics linked to principles agroecological, participatory property planning, participatory technical assistance to producers and use of technologies of information in the management of productive resources on farms.
(ii) Implement, through a group of young promoters (selected among the beneficiaries of the activity [i]), a participatory technical support program with a gender focus and cultural relevance to approximately 850 agricultural producers in order to increase their knowledge and skills on the alternative technologies and agroecological practices applicable on their farms.
(iii) Design and implement a permanent monitoring and evaluation system of the knowledge change process and skills of the beneficiary producers, as an effect of the technical support provided.
(iv) Based on the information collected within the framework of activity [iii], permanently implement measures corrective measures to the technical support program for producers in order to guarantee and demonstrate compliance of the objective of this consultancy (increase knowledge/skills of producers).
