Description
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is preparing a Competitive and Sustainable Tourism Program in Colombia. To this end, the need arises to hire consulting services to carry out a diagnosis, action plan and training material to promote the circular economy in tourist accommodation in said country.
The objective of this consultancy is the generation of a circular economy model in the Colombian tourism sector, thus guiding the adoption of sustainable practices by the private tourism sector. The development of the model will be carried out based on a pilot in the tourist accommodation subsector, in coordination with the regional chapters of Cundinamarca and Boyacá of the Hotel and Tourism Association of Colombia – Cotelco. The generation of this model and its application in a pilot will allow its subsequent extrapolation to companies in other tourism subsectors, thus guiding the sustainable development of the sector.
