CO-T1668 : Sandbox: Training creative talent to diversify job opportunities in Colombia

Description

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) approved a non-reimbursable technical cooperation to provide support to vulnerable youth in Colombia to access opportunities in the audiovisual industry, taking advantage of the sector's potential to generate jobs. This TC will implement the 'Sandbox-audiovisual' program that will allow the consolidation of the ecosystem of the audiovisual sector in Colombia. The approved project begins with Component 1 Lights!, whose objective is to make visible the social and economic value of careers in the cultural and creative industries, inspiring young people with a high degree of rights violations (18-30 years old) to expand their educational paths. Part of the funds approved in the TC will be used to hire a consulting firm to design and implement the production of a hybrid immersive experience (virtual and/or face-to-face) of 2 to 3 days, for approximately 1,500 young people from the municipalities of Quibdó (Chocó), Florencia (Caquetá), San Andrés Islas, Sincelejo (Sucre), Popayán (Cauca) and Bogotá, which will help consolidate the ecosystem of the audiovisual sector in Colombia.

Services include:

  1. The design of the hybrid immersive experience methodology for 1,500 people from the municipalities of Quibdó (Chocó), Florencia (Caquetá), San Andrés Islas, Sincelejo (Sucre), Popayán (Cauca) and Bogotá, which will allow us to select 750 young people to go to phase 2 of the project. The methodology is expected to allow visualizing how the audiovisual sector works and the development of a film with a similar experience, or inspired by the format of (hackathones, Startup Weekend, Imaginatón) or any other of this type.
  2. Branding and all communication aspects that support the implementation of the methodology and that guarantee the participation of 1,500 young people.
  3. The implementation of the immersive experience that allows young people to understand what the industry is about and how they could develop a career in the audiovisual sector.
  4. Executing the selection and curation of all content, speakers, invited industry experts, and mentors for the workshop.
  5. The development of all the printed or online teaching materials that will be needed during the immersive experience to achieve the proposed objectives, considering its hybrid nature.
  6. The preparation of a satisfaction survey for the participants and an audiovisual report of the process with the methodology and the results achieved.
