This consultancy opportunity is centered on the creation of a web-based interactive visualization tool to identify the supply and demand for climate financing in Mexico, which contributes to the fulfillment of the goals of the Paris Agreement.
The consulting services ("the Services") seek to contribute to strengthening access to climate financing with national, international, public and private sources in a strategic manner to facilitate compliance with the commitments acquired by Mexico in terms of mitigation and adaptation to climate change. and blue carbon, particularly Mexico's commitments to the Paris Agreement through an interactive web-based visualization tool.
This objective is sought with the development of the following products:
• Web-based interactive visualization tool that identifies the mechanism of climate financing sources (public, private, national and international) and investment promotion processes for the design and implementation of climate change projects that contribute to compliance with the NDC.
• Database in which national and international, public and private climate financing alternatives are identified to promote the implementation of climate actions (projects and programs) and for timely compliance with the NDC.
• Protocol for updating the instrument to guarantee its sustainability and ensure the relevance of the instrument in the future.
The final products will be carried out through the following main activities:
Activity 1: Identification and compilation of relevant and updated information on the demand for climate finance
Activity 2: Identification and systematization of the climate financing offer
Activity 3: Develop a web-based interactive visualization tool for access to climate finance for potential beneficiaries
Activity 4: Develop a strategy to ensure the updating of the instrument.
The project will last 6 months. The consulting firm is expected to have a work team in Mexico. Firms may subcontract experts in the area they deem necessary to meet the experience and knowledge requirements of the terms of reference.
