Advice and preparation of specifications for the manufacture, supply and assembly of a generator for the Salto Grande hydroelectric plant

The Salto Grande Mixed Technical Commission invites consulting companies and/or JVCA, with internationally recognized experience and prestige in engineering development consultancies and integral renovation projects for hydroelectric unit generators, with a power greater than 100 MVA, to participate in the Consulting call with the following objective:

Develop a consultancy, based on the studies already available in Salto Grande and new studies that may be necessary to propose a strategy to be used for the complete renovation of the fourteen (14) generators of the CHSG hydroelectric units. The consultancy includes a diagnostic analysis to define the scope of the renovation, technical-economic analysis of the proposed alternatives, the preparation of the Technical Specifications, and other bidding documents for the contracting of the integral renovation for one (1) first generator.

Interested parties must provide information, only in Spanish or through translation into that language, to support their qualification to provide the services required in this call (specific background, engineering skills, projects, description of similar services, experience in identical conditions, similar organizational capabilities). The total number of pages provided by interested parties should not exceed 140 pages. Interested parties can join other companies in the form of Joint Venture or subcontractors to improve their qualifications. The nationality of the company will be that of the country in which it is legally incorporated and, in the case of a joint venture, it will be the nationality of the company that is designated as representative.

There are intervention restrictions in this consultancy and the hiring processes: PROY0000 RSG (SG 655): Provision of technical assistance for supervision, inspection, technical studies and support to the management of the first stage of the Salto Grande Renovation Project. The consulting company hired for PROY0014 will be disqualified from being hired to manufacture, supply and assemble CHSG generators.

The consulting firms will be selected according to the procedures indicated in Policies for the Selection and Contracting of Consultants financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (GN 2350-9).
