Rafael Rocha

I´m a Brazilian executive from Campinas / São Paulo, living in Panama since 2006. I have over 10 years of experience in international positions, possessing a unique mix of strategic and S&OP exposure in the logistics, supply chain and manufacturing industries. Currently, I´m the Managing and Operations Director for Galores, a corporate group based in Panama – Central America, with subsidiaries in different fields. I was hired as Executive Director by the shareholders to develop fast-growing business. In this role I led the startup of the different companies and divisions such as Transportation, Warehousing, Self Storage and Distribution. Before joining Galores, I worked for Arneg, the third largest commercial and industrial refrigeration group in the World with more than 20 manufacturing plants around the globe. Successes include leading the opening of a branch in Panama in 2006, and expanding the footprint of Arneg around the whole region including Venezuela, Central America and the Caribbean. I have an MBA from EUNCET Business School - Barcelona, a Specialization in Supply Chain Management from the University of San Francisco - California and a M.Sc. from the Swiss Business School - Zurich. I´m an active member of the Amcham Panama (American Chamber of Commerce) and vice-chair of its Logistics Committee. I was also board member of WFLO (World Food Logistics Organization) from 2009 to 2013. I´m a creative, entrepreneur and hands-on leader, with proven ability to develop and strengthen management teams in order to maximize company profitability and efficiency.
