Mariana Caliuolo

Mariana is an International Relations professional with two decades of experience bridging the diplomatic and tourism sectors. She is an expert in intercultural communication and in developing lasting strategic alliances to maximize positive impact. By combining academic research with extensive field experience, Mariana develops and implements sustainable practices across the travel industry and advises SMEs and entrepreneurs in business development plans. With over 15 years of experience in executive management positions, she is the Founder and Lead Consultant of Maewa Journey Consulting, an advisory firm based in Salta, Argentina, dedicated to strategic design, community development, and sustainability in nature-based tourism. She holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO). Furthermore, Mariana is a passionate advocate for Gender Equality, actively participating as part of the UN Women allies network under the Women's Empowerment Principles.
