Sheree-Ann Adams

Dr. Sheree-Ann Adams has extensive knowledge and over 25 years of experience within Tourism and Grenada (Caribbean) Tourism Development. Founder of Tourism Services Ltd. T/A Adventure Tours – Grenada: tours operator (excursions supplier) of Adventure River Tubing, Adventure Jeep Tours and Trailblazers Mt. Bikes, since 1997. Her primary focus has been on the successful positioning of destination Grenada in the soft adventure product niche for both the cruise ship passengers and stay-over visitors to the island. She has served in the capacity of Board Director with several key organisations including the Grenada Hotel & Tourism Association; the Grenada Tourism Authority and the T.A. Marryshow Community College. Industry experience includes Cruise Companies, Hotels, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and Micro Small Medium-size Enterprises (MSME’s). She brings valuable in-sight from the perspective of a private sector Caribbean tourism stakeholder and a responsible /sustainable tourism professional. She currently freelances globally as a consultant, researcher and trainer continuing to impart her academic knowledge, industry experience and travel exposure primarily through guest lectures, cruise specific publications, conference presentations and advising MSMEs and NGOs on sustainability planning. Formally trained in several aspects of Tourism, including Hotel Management at Barbados Community College; Tourism Management at the University of the West Indies; Environmental Management for Conservation and Recreation at Sheffield Hallam University in England and a Master’s degree in Tourism Management from Bournemouth University in England. She has a Doctorate in Responsible Tourism Management from Leeds Beckett University, England. Her specialist areas are in Responsible / Sustainable Development and Management and Cruise Tourism. She is a fellow of the Cruise Research Society and a member of the International Center for Responsible Tourism.
