In the last 25 years, Mr. Amaral has generated enormous value to society, through companies and organizations he has worked in or consulted for. In 2003, Mr. Amaral lectured at UNESCOs headquarter in Paris on an educational engagement in Maputo, Mozambique, which was considered the best educational project ever conceived and implemented in the World. In 2005, UNDP awarded Mr. Amaral an Honors Award for turning around companies in distress, that together employ over 17 thousand jobs. In 2008, as Secretary of Economic Development, the Federal District’s GDP, grew 12%, despite the international financial crisis of 2007; and in 2009, children mortality was eradicated after implementing basic infrastructure in the 30+ cities of the Federal District. In 2014, the state of Goias jumped from #16 to #1 in Brazil’s State Education indicator, as a result of a Management Optimization initiative. Currently, Mr. Amaral is involved in assisting the rollout of a US$20 billion basic sanitation program in rural areas of Brazil.
