With a degree from the Communications Department from Florida State University (U.S.A.), I was introduced to the american corporate structure as I began working in the men's garment buying offices of Federated Department Stores' (FD - Fortune 500) Burdines Division based in Miami, FL. With an interest in developing skills in sales and brand management I became involved with the exclusive regional commercialization and distribution of natural products out of South America (Argentina), REINO (www.reino.com.ar) which led me into an interest in international business and specifically the foreign exchange markets. Armed with a Series 3 License to trade on the exchanges (mostly CME/CBOT at the time), I began growing my client portfolio by recommending fundamental based trading opportunities in the FOREX, Softs and Metals markets. As my experience grew, I felt the next step to be made was to the financial capital of the world, New York City. Having been recruited by a private finance firm, Amerimerchant, that provided capital based on the purchase of future electronic receivables I was able to consistently generate business passing from an account executive to managing a pool of associates even as the great recession of '08 depressed the economy. Since 2012 when I joined a family firm located in Central America (El Salvador), I have risen to the position of Director where I oversee 4 main business lines: honey exports, inter-modal transport, over the counter pharma-production and retailing a personal care line with total annual sales of over $5M.
