rainmaker democratize technology that only large global organizations can otherwise afford. We make this technology available to the 200.000+ hospitality and tourism providers in Africa in a public-private partnership, freemium and paid business model. Our VISTA Destination Network Open Platform and Eco-System seamlessly connect all stakeholders (Accommodation, Activity, Car-Rental, Tour Operator and Direct-Wholesale) in a destination. It, therefore, is the only true supply site platform making it easier for travelers and direct travel agents and operators to fulfill the planning and booking of destination itineraries. rainmaker provides competitive advantages to the direct value chain (the supplier, direct travel agents, and operators) and the traveler. Today, the hospitality and tourism providers give away 60% to 80% of their profits to indirect value chains (OTA's, DMC-WHOLESALE-RETAIL, etc.). Money that does not contribute to the destination, its businesses, people and prosperity. More tourism spend in a destination contributes to more and quality education, more and decent employment and work conditions, youth and women unemployment and it drives entrepreneurship for more sustainable and inclusive tourism development. As a social enterprise, it is our passion to keep more tourism spend in the destination for more sustainable tourism development. Fully aligned with the UNWTO Digital Transformation Strategy and the Tourism Sustainability Goals. The VISTA Destination Network consists of rich content (Images, Video, 360° Tours, Description, Amenities, Facilities, Policies, Terms & Conditions, Rates, Room-Types, Activites, etc.) for some 30.000 properties in Africa of which some 8.000 are enabled for real-time rate, availability, and booking. Our 5 Stages of Success is a holistic methodology and managed service for Hospitality and Tourism Suppliers, managing their entire visibility, reputation and distribution as a one-stop shop. For our Namibian customers we have created 19 million views in 2018 and generated some N$ 20 million in direct revenue. Our public-private partnership and the Freemium business model with Tourism Authorities and the respective suppliers is an easy and affordable way to start a Digital Transformation Initiative in a destination. Today, only 10% of the African Hospitality and Tourism businesses are enabled by Technology, only 15% do even have a digital presence. rainmaker is going to change this for good. Our unique and flexible API (Application Programming Interface) and SDK (Software Development Kit) provides direct travel agents and operators the most simple and direct connection to a destination and its suppliers for rich content, availability, rates, bookings, etc. available on the market. rainmaker has been awarded for the impact provided - by the HSMAI (Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International) with the Golden Adrian Award and from the World Tourism Forum Lucerne for its Destination impact in 2018. We are a Partner of Google and the UNWTO.
