Descripción
The IDB intends to hire consulting services to Perform a Dam Safety Inspection of the AFOBAKA Hydro DAM in Surinam.
The objective of this consultancy is to conduct a dam inspection of the Afobaka Dam, in order to ensure the integrity of the Afobaka Hydroelectric project, and to propose improvements and recommendations on the dam safety monitoring practices and equipment.
The consulting services include:
- Perform a technical dam safety inspection (main dam and embankments, East & West saddles dikes, and bridge).
- Review all instrumentation data and provide recommendations for upgrading (if applicable) or if additional instrumentation is needed.
- Provide recommendations for lake management alternative.
The total term of the contract will be six (6) months.
