Cuernavaca is a city with a huge cultural and intellectual affair that happens naturally, I would say that the artistic and cultural scene is shaped by the continuos feedback between creators, marchants and publics that converge significantly in little spaces that survive independently, giving place to the huge diversity of artistic dinamics happening at a time. However, lots of this artists athought different get to connect each other and build collective experiences at coinciding in a ludic and festive spot like Simón Galería a symbolic and physic place to meet with the art scene and art itself. The Philosopher Hans-Georg Gadamer said that nowadays art should be associated to the concept of 'party' because "That way there's not only no isolation but also it is all congregated (...) It is not all about being one close to the other, but the intention that makes people together and helps keeping them clustered instead of having dialogues that disperse individually“. The last few years we've been talking to Ray Smith, a very important contemporary artist living between Brooklyn, Ny; Texas and Cuernavaca, Mexico. Trying to find a way to mix cities, countries, art markets and artistic scenes from the daily basis real life experiences to creation. To achieving this goal we need a bigger space with more professional services related to exhibition, workshops, fairs, concerts and more capability to support a wider range of expressions. It is important to mention that anything of this couldn't have been possible without our food court, bar and coffee station business and related to this we can easily give shape to a Mezcal Simon Brand w/ a very artistic and creative image that could have a huge impact into the artistic and gallery scene around the world, giving more impulse to our hunger for creation and cultural feedback.
