Cachaçaria Serafina Initially produced for personal consumption and for his closer friends, the authentic flavor of 'Cachaça Serafina' was created by Augusto Franzato, in 1962, in a village near Cianorte, in the countryside of Paraná state, by the time when this old man used to work in sugar cane plantations as his livelihood to raise his family. The creative restlessness and self-taught ability made Mr. Augusto find out a combination of very special characteristics for his cachaça, a traditional and unique Brazilian spirit, which has always pleased the most demanding palates. After 40 years of success among friends, his son Marco develops even more his father's succesfull recipe and creates one of the most modern distilleries in the country, starting his activities on June 8, 2015. 'Cachaça Serafina' is blended by Armando Del Bianco, a brazilian - and international - reference when it comes to quality cachaça. He is an effective member of the Cachaça Sectorial Chamber of the Minas Gerais Secretariat of Agriculture, where he represents FAEMG and SENAR Minas. Conducted improvement courses in sensory analysis of spirits at the University of Spirits in Segonzac, Cognac region (France), and at the Whiskey Club in Edinburgh and Glasgow (Scotland). It is the Master Blender that most elaborated and executed premium editions of special stills from Brazil, and in 2012 he won 4 silver medals in 2 important international spirits competitions: at the Brussels Spirits Awards (Belgium) and at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (USA).
