The Amazon Equatorial Institute is a non-governmental Brazilian organization, nonprofit federal utility (MJ Case No. 08071.018534 / 2013-93). It was established in September 9, 2007, with the objective conditions and facilitate improvement to the people of the Amazon. Our mission is to promote sustainable development, environmental conservation and improving the quality of life of riverside communities in the Amazon. The main initiatives are implemented through the Program and Innovative Solutions, creating opportunity for low-income families. For sustainable involvement we understand the set of participatory processes aimed at improving the quality of life and strengthening the company's relations with local ecosystems, recognizing and expanding their ties and social commitments, cultural, economic, spiritual and ecological in order to seek sustainability in all its dimensions. The fight against poverty includes the economic and social investment in popular groups, seeking support, financially and technically, initiatives that ensure them the means, capacity and management, making it possible rise of citizens and families in situations of vulnerability and social risk, thus ensuring access to minimum conditions of survival, improve quality of life, preserve the environment and social organization. The Institute is open to the participation of companies, people and institutions committed to the promotion of sustainability of the Amazon. It is the opportunity for concrete actions to ensure a better future for the planet.
