COPAGRO, was founded on August 5, 1967, having as its headquarters its Administrative Unit located in the city of Tubarão, State of Santa Catarina. Currently, the cooperative has 190 (one hundred and ninety) members, generates 110 (one hundred and ten) direct jobs and approximately 300 (three hundred) indirect jobs, through a physical structure composed of: Rice processing industry, s with a production capacity of 3,900 (three thousand and nine hundred) tons of Benefited Rice / month. Australian Palm Heart Canning Industry in Australia, with a production capacity of 4,108,000 (four million, one hundred and eight) pots / year. The Real Gourmet Line Palm hearts are processed with the latest technology, meeting the strict market requirements and preserving care from planting, processing and packaging. The preserves are extracted from the Royal Palm, a plant originally from Australia, which has an incomparable texture and flavor. Its cultivation is ecologically correct, replacing the extraction of native palm trees.
