The Confederation of Businessmen of Galicia (CEG) is a private and independent organization, whose main founding objective is the promotion of the private initiative system and the market economy in the Galician Autonomous Community. As an entity at the service of the business community, the CEG's activity focuses on the representation and defense of the general interests of the business community before institutions, public organizations and social agents. Established in 1981 by common agreement of the four Provincial Confederations of Businessmen, the CEG is a non-profit entity, with voluntary membership and a democratic structure. Since its creation, the most representative business organization in the Galician autonomous community, it is a member of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations ( CEOE ) and the Business Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises ( CEPYME ).
