Cocenpp is a Cooperative of Special Coffees and Certificates, founded in 2011, to meet market demands and marketing for the specialty coffee sector. Our region is favorable to coffee growing, having ideal climatic conditions for the production of fine coffees, with average annual temperatures between 19 and 22 ° C, resulting from the combination of altitude (500 to 900 m) and latitude (23 to 24 ° S), providing a longer period between flowering and physiological maturation of the grains, allowing more intense fixation of the attributes and providing excellent characterization of your drink, where stand out: high sweetness, creamy body, pleasant citric acidity, remarkable residual flavor, flavor and aroma oscillating between fruity, molasses cane, honey, citrus floral, caramel, and chocolate. We also add the enviable qualities and fertility of our volcanic soil, the famous “Terra roxa”, and adequate rainfall, which allows the cultivation without irrigation. Led by SEBRAE, the producers of this region created the Project "Cafés Especiais do Norte Pioneiro do Paraná ", focusing on the production of certified and specialty coffees. work has borne good fruit by obtaining excellent placements in quality contests of coffee, all over Brazil. That characterization, with unique attributes, resulted in the registration of the region "Norte Pioneiro do Paraná" as a Geographical Indication, in the modality Indication of Origin, with INPI - National Institute of Industrial property. In addition, Cocenpp is still used in its commercialization the FairTrade Certification that deals with the fair, which follows several rules since the production of coffee in the farming to marketing it.
