ConnectAmericas is the first social business network in the Americas, dedicated to promoting international trade and investment across the region. The platform helps Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) to strengthen their businesses by offering access to investors, buyers and suppliers around the world. It also offers simple and useful information on processes and regulations for international trade, and on financing options available in each country.

The initiative was created by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), with support from Google, DHL, SeaLand, MasterCard, and Meta. It currently has over 500,000 registered users from over 200 countries and territories.

Use ConnectAmericas to find new business deals!

When you login to ConnectAmericas.com, the first thing you will see is your dashboard, where you will find the following tools:

• Purchasing Announcements

In this section, you will find Purchasing Announcements from large companies and governments. You can filter them by country or industry, and click on each of them to find more detailed information. Companies such as DHL, Arcos Dorados (McDonald's), Riachuelo, Centauro GE, Grupo Britt and OHL already find their suppliers at ConnectAmericas.

To apply to a Purchasing Announcement, simply create and verify your company profile and fill out the application form.

• Company Directory

Here you can find all companies registered on ConnectAmericas. You can filter them by country or industry. When you click on a company profile, you will find out more about the company and the goods/services it offers, in which countries it operates, and what certifications it has. You can also view the company's verification status and reviews from other users.

By clicking on the contact information button, you will access the internal messaging system where you can communicate directly with a company representative.

• Business and Financial Services

ConnectAmericas offers information about financial and business support services in the region. For each service, you'll find a brief summary and links that redirect you to the entity that provides it.

• Business Communities

We also offer industry-specific business communities, where you can post and view selling offers and requests from other companies. You can also use the communities to learn about the news and trends in your industry.

• Events

Here, you can find information about events within and beyond the region, both organized by the IDB and our partner organizations. In this section, you will find general event information such as organizers, links and discounts to participate.

We also publish live and online business events organized by ConnectAmericas and the IDB. In addition to being free of charge, we also offer financial support and benefits for participants.

• Partner Banks

In this section, ConnectAmericas offers financial institutions in the region a space to promote their financial goods and services for SMEs.

• Training

Finally, in the "Learning" section, you will be able to find courses, advisory services, success stories, guides, tools, and information about trends and opportunities in your industry.

• How can you sign up?

To create a profile on ConnectAmericas, simply click on "Sign Up" and fill out the registration form. You will then receive a confirmation email to activate your account.
