Description
The Republic of Suriname, through the Ministry of Labor, Employment Opportunity, and Youth Affairs, has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the Labor Market Alignment with New Industries program. This invitation seeks qualified providers for the Training for Employment (TFE) 2026 Edition, aimed at improving the employability of jobseekers through market-relevant, practical, and employment-oriented training linked to priority sectors of the labor market.
Scope of the offer
- Target sectors: Fourteen (14) entry-level positions across two priority sectors: Agriculture and Services (specifically ICT and Maintenance).
- Program objective: Improving jobseeker employability by providing practical training linked to priority labor market demands.
- Implementation components: Course rollout for the 2026 edition, including curriculum delivery and reporting on training outputs and results.
Qualification requirements
- Professional experience: At least three (3) years in the delivery of training, workforce development, TVET, or employability programs.
- Contractual history: At least two (2) assignments in the last five years involving training delivery in the same or comparable technical sectors.
- Technical capacity: Demonstrated access to suitable training facilities, tools, and equipment relevant to the bidding lots.
- Expert personnel: Availability of appropriately qualified trainers and implementation staff for the specific packages.
- Operational capability: Proven capacity to implement awarded lots within the required period and geographic scope.
- Margin of preference: A Margin of Preference for national contractors or joint ventures will be granted.
