Description
The Republic of Chile, through Empresa Portuaria Austral, received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to finance the Magallanes H2V project: development of enabling port infrastructure, and it is proposed to use part of these resources to make payments under the contract corresponding to the execution of the works.
This call for tenders is issued in follow-up to the General Notice of Procurement published on the IDB's website, under publication number IDB-CHL1191-GPN, dated December 12, 2025.
The project includes the execution of a large-scale port expansion, which includes the extension of the dock, the fitting out of storage yards and the implementation of specialized electrical systems, with the aim of providing enabling infrastructure for the development of the Magallanes H2V project. The estimated construction period is 540 calendar days.
The Request for Bids will be made in accordance with the International Public Bidding (IPL) procedures established in the Policies for the Acquisition of Goods and Works financed by the IDB, and is open to bidders from eligible countries, as defined in the bidding document. The prequalification process seeks to select companies that have the technical experience and economic capacity necessary to execute this type of port infrastructure works.
Interested bidders may request the Bidding Documents in Spanish by written communication to the address indicated in the SDO. Empresa Portuaria Austral will send the documentation by email to the addresses previously validated by the bidders.
