Description
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is looking to hire a consulting firm to promote socioeconomic development and productive diversification in the department of Iglesia, San Juan. The project is based on generating synergies between the public, private and civil society sectors to strengthen the local economy and reduce dependence on traditional extractive activities.
1. Comprehensive diagnosis and mapping
- Characterization of the ecosystem: Survey of current productive activities, strategic plans and current support programs (credits, subsidies and tax benefits).
- Initiative mapping: Identification of public, private and civil society projects in execution or planned, including the work of universities and cooperation organizations.
- Stakeholder analysis: Identification of SMEs, entrepreneurs and local producers to understand their potential for articulation in value chains.
2. Prioritization of strategic opportunities
- Selection criteria: Evaluation of competitive advantages, capacity to generate employment, local added value and access to new markets.
- Gap Identification: Analysis of logistical constraints and trade barriers that restrict commercialization on a regional and international scale.
3. Technical assistance and strengthening in the territory
- Specialized support: Provision of legal, accounting, commercial and technical assistance to prioritized projects.
- Key projects: Creation of an incubator for agro-productive entrepreneurs, training of tourism providers and strengthening of municipal capacities to monitor the local ecosystem.
Note: Interested companies should review the international data management and logistics analysis experience requirements on the BEO Bidder Portal.
