Supervision of the rehabilitation and construction of the El Pintado – Santa María road (El Carmen canton, Manabí province)

Description

Ecuador, through the State Bank, has financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the "PROVIAL 2 Rural Roads Program". This call invites eligible consulting firms to submit their expressions of interest for the comprehensive inspection of the rehabilitation and construction works of the El Pintado – Santa María road section.

Scope of the consultancy
Main objective: Technical, administrative and financial control of the execution of the works in a section of 8.20 km (abscissas 18+300 to 26+500) and 420 meters of accesses in the canton of El Carmen, province of Manabí.

Intervention components subject to inspection:

Preliminary operations and earthworks.

Pavement structure with asphalt layer tread layer.

Protection works and drainage structures (minor art).

Horizontal and vertical signage, and complementary operations.

Control of environmental, social and industrial safety compliance.

Qualification and Experience Requirements
Accredited experience: Demonstration of technical experience in the last 20 years in the provision of inspection and/or supervision services of road infrastructure projects with asphalt layer tread layer.

Documentary support: Descriptive file of each project presented (individually or in consortium/APCA) that includes the object of the work, amount of the contract, execution dates or percentage of progress, contracting entity and contact details.

Proposal selection and management
Regulatory framework: Selection conducted in accordance with the IDB's Policies for the Selection and Hiring of Consultants for the formation of a short list of between five (5) and eight (8) eligible firms.

Modalities of participation: The nomination of individual firms, in association (Joint Venture / APCA) or through the inclusion of sub-consultants is allowed.

Delivery Method: Sending written expressions of interest in physical format or through permitted electronic means.
