Description
The Republic of El Salvador, through the Ministry of Health, has requested financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the Smart and Comprehensive Health Program. The aim is to use part of these funds for the technical and administrative supervision of a new key hospital infrastructure in the capital.
The project consists of contracting supervision services under the figure of "FIDIC Engineer", following the international standards of the FIDIC Red Book (Second Edition, 2017). The work to be supervised is a 4-level hospitalization tower, designed to strengthen the care capacity of the Soyapango National Hospital in San Salvador.
Consulting services include:
Supervision under FIDIC standards: Perform all the obligations assigned to the "Engineer" according to the international construction contract.
Technical and quality control: Ensure that the construction of the 4-level tower complies with the plans, specifications and health standards in force.
Contract management: Manage communications, payment certifications and possible modifications within the legal framework of the FIDIC contract.
Progress Monitoring: Oversee adherence to schedules to ensure timely delivery of the new hospitalization area.
To make up the short list (5 to 8 firms), interested consultants must demonstrate:
Experience in FIDIC contracts: Have supervised similar projects under this international contractual framework.
Equivalent projects: Experience in supervising the new construction of hospitals, clinics, laboratories or schools with an area equal to or greater than 9,000 m².
Financial capacity: Supervised projects must have amounts greater than or equal to US$ 15,000,000.00.
Status of the projects: The works presented must be completed or have an advance of at least 70%.
