Review and revalidation of the priorities of the expansion works of the High Voltage Transmission System of Argentina

Description

The Inter-American Development Bank invites consulting firms to submit their Expression of Interest to carry out a comprehensive review and update the priorities of the expansion works of the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI), considering the current and future conditions of the electricity system, with the aim of improving its safety, reliability, efficiency and development.

The consultancy will include the following activities:

1. Diagnosis of the electrical system: Analyze the current status of the SADI, the transmission restrictions and the works provided for in Resolutions 507/2023 and 715/2025, establishing an updated baseline.

2. Technical-economic evaluation: Review the evaluation criteria, update the costs and benefits of the works and compare expansion alternatives through economic and sensitivity analyses.

3. Resilience and technological evolution: Evaluate demand and generation scenarios, risks to system reliability and opportunities associated with new technologies, storage and renewable energies.

4. Revalidation of priorities: Determine which works should be maintained, anticipated, postponed or reconsidered, incorporating new alternatives when appropriate.

5. Roadmap: Develop a proposal for the progressive implementation of priority investments in the short, medium and long term.
