Description

The Eastern Republic of Uruguay, through the National Development Corporation (CND), has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the Program to Support the Improvement of the Quality of Spending on Transport Infrastructure. The Corporación Vial del Uruguay (CVU) calls for eligible bidders for the execution of a comprehensive contract on Route 3. This project, under the modality of sustainable asset maintenance, seeks to ensure the rehabilitation and long-term conservation of a vital section for logistics and national transport.

Scope of the works
The contract belongs to the Public Road Infrastructure sector and includes:

Rehabilitation and Maintenance: Technical intervention and conservation of the road infrastructure within the public domain strip.

Specific Section: Route 3, Circuit 2, between kilometers 243k000 and 354k800.

Financing: The contract includes the financing of the works by the successful bidder.

Term of the Contract: The validity of the services and obligations is 7 years.

Qualification and Process Requirements
The bidding process is governed by the International Public Bidding (IPL) procedures detailed in IDB policies. Key points of the process include:

Eligibility: Participation open to bidders from IDB member countries.

Qualifications: It is required to prove a background in contracts of similar characteristics, technical capacity (including equipment) and financial strength.

Bid Guarantee: Proposers must constitute a Bid Maintenance Guarantee (GMO) in the amount of USD 400,000.

Registration and Specifications: It is a requirement to be registered in the CVU Supplier Registry to acquire the complete set of documents, which has a cost of $60,000 Uruguayan pesos.

Submission: Bids must be submitted exclusively electronically in accordance with the procedure established in the specifications.
