Description

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is seeking to hire a firm to design, validate and scale up a package of educational materials based on the Shokuiku approach (food and nutrition education). The project aims to promote healthy knowledge and practices in children, caregivers and community promoters, facilitating informed decision-making about food in vulnerable contexts.

1. Development of pedagogical materials
The firm will have to create a comprehensive package of educational tools aligned with the principles of health, culture and the environment:

- Multimedia content: Production of educational videos, digital cards for caregivers, digital storybooks, and printable activities.

- Digital strategy: Creation of short and visual content for social networks and messaging platforms (WhatsApp), adapted to low-resource environments.

- Implementation guides: Preparation of pedagogical notes and guidance manuals for educators and community facilitators.

2. Validation and monitoring:

- Formative research: Validation protocol in at least two community or educational settings to test comprehension and usability.

- Optimization: Iterative adjustments to materials based on pilot findings and constant monitoring of reach and engagement metrics.

3. Scaling and sustainability
The project will culminate with the delivery of a structured package for the replication of the model:

- Sustainability: Recommendations for institutional adoption, localization, and scaling of the Shokuiku approach.

- Knowledge products: Final report with lessons learned, analysis of campaign metrics, and strategic recommendations for future deployments.

Note: Interested companies should review the international data management and logistics analysis experience requirements on the BEO Bidder Portal.
