Description
Co-operative Republic of Guyana has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to partially finance the "Strengthening Energy Matrix Diversification" project and intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments under this contract.
Guyana Power and Light invites eligible bidders to submit sealed bids for the upgrade of L1/L3 69kV transmission lines from Garden of Eden to Golden Grove. The project involves the construction of overhead transmission lines using steel monopoles, lattice towers, or hybrid structures with pre-stressed concrete pile foundations, as well as the installation and integration of OPGW systems. The estimated construction period is 9 months.
The bidding process will be conducted through International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures as specified in the IDB’s Procurement Policies for the Procurement of Goods and Works and is open to all bidders from eligible countries.
Bidders must meet the following qualification criteria:
Financial capacity: Audited financial statements for 2020-2024, a minimum average annual construction turnover of USD $10M over the last 5 years, and a construction cash flow requirement of USD $2.0M.
Experience: At least 8 years of experience in construction contracts starting from January 2017.
Specific projects: Satisfactory completion of at least three (3) similar contracts since January 2017, each with a minimum value of USD $7.0M, involving 69kV transmission lines and OPGW installation.
