Description
Jamaica has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to support the Health Systems Strengthening for the Prevention and Care Management of Non-Communicable Diseases Programme. The Ministry of Health is inviting eligible bidders to submit proposals for the supply and installation of high-tech medical imaging equipment. This procurement is a critical component of the national strategy to enhance diagnostic capabilities and improve the management of chronic diseases across the island's health regions.
Scope of Supply:
The procurement is categorized under the Health sector and specifically includes:
- Supply and Installation: Delivery and setup of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Scanners.
- Target Facilities: The equipment is intended for the St. Ann's Bay Regional Hospital (STABRH) and Spanish Town Hospital (STH).
- Technical Integration: Provision of all necessary components to ensure the scanners are fully operational within the designated medical facilities.
- Bidding and Qualification Requirements
The process is being conducted through International Competitive Bidding (ICB) in accordance with IDB Procurement Policies. Key requirements for interested bidders include:
- Eligibility: The tender is open to all bidders from eligible countries as defined in the bidding documents.
- Financial Standing: Bidders must demonstrate a sound financial position.
- Proven Experience: Successful completion of at least two similar contracts within the last three years.
