Description
The Ministry of Culture of Panama has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the project Support for the Conservation and Management of Cultural and Natural Heritage. This call seeks to select a consulting firm for the development of a management plan for the fortifications of San Lorenzo and Portobelo, structured under criteria of institutional interdependence and sustainability.
Scope of the consultancy
- Comprehensive Management Plan: Development of a management system based on the Reference Manual – Cultural Heritage Management – World Heritage of UNESCO / ICCROM / ICOMOS / IUCN.
- Legal framework: Definition of the normative and legislative mandate that empowers conservation actions, determining the guidelines for the protection of heritage.
- Institutional framework: Establishment of the organizational scheme, working methods and operational structures necessary for the effective execution of activities.
- Resource planning: Identification and management of human, financial and intellectual inputs that guarantee operational capacity and continuity of processes.
Qualification Requirements
- Institutional profile: Presentation of the detailed profile of the firm, consortium or association, clearly specifying the company that will act as project leader.
- Relevant experience: Accreditation and detailed description of previously developed works or projects that are directly related to the objective and scope of this consultancy.
- Language of presentation: All legal, technical documentation and the expression of interest must be submitted in Spanish.
- Partnerships: Interested firms may join forces or include subcontractors in order to strengthen their qualifications.
- Short list: The process will be executed for the formation of a short list made up of a minimum of five (5) and a maximum of eight (8) eligible signatures.
