Description
The Oriental Republic of Uruguay has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the Neighborhood Improvement Program III. The Ministry of Housing, Territorial Planning and the Environment, through UNDP, invites eligible bidders to submit bids for the execution of the fifth stage of the South Maracanã project. This comprehensive intervention seeks to transform the urban infrastructure of the neighborhood, improving the quality of life of its inhabitants through the provision of basic services and adequate housing.
Scope of the works
The project is developed in the Urban Development and Housing sector and includes the following works and supplies:
Basic infrastructure: Construction of the road network, sanitation network, storm drains, drinking water and public lighting.
Equipment and public spaces: Construction of sidewalks, public spaces and retaining walls.
Housing and social support: Construction of 6 new homes and delivery of materials for self-construction baskets.
Execution period: A period of 540 days is estimated for the completion of the work.
Qualification and Process Requirements
The bidding process is governed by the International Public Bidding (IPL) procedures detailed in IDB policies. Key points of the process include:
Eligibility: Open to bidders from all IDB member countries, as defined in the bidding documents.
Bid Guarantee: All proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Maintenance Guarantee in the amount of UYU $3,636,722.00.
Qualifications: The specific technical, financial and legal requirements are detailed in the specifications available on the UNDP website.
Submission: Bids must be delivered physically to the UNDP office in Montevideo. Electronic bids are not permitted.
