Description
The State of Bahia, through the Secretary of Health of the State of Bahia (SESAB), within the scope of the Program for the Strengthening of SUS in the State of Bahia - PROSUS II, launched this public notice financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The central objective is to expand and qualify primary health care specifically aimed at the indigenous populations of the state, ensuring adequate and culturally respectful facilities.
This tender focuses on the construction of five (5) Basic Indigenous Health Units (UBSI). The project is part of a larger effort to decentralize health services and ensure that indigenous communities have access to preventive care, vaccinations, and basic consultations within their territories. The estimated period for the execution of the works is 9 months.
Key components of this project include:
Health Infrastructure: Construction of medical and dental offices, dressing rooms, pharmacies, and waiting areas.
Cultural Adequacy: Architectural projects that consider the specificities and needs of local indigenous communities.
Sanitation and Energy: Implementation of water supply systems, wastewater treatment and, when necessary, renewable energy solutions for remote areas.
Accelerated Schedule: Execution of the works in less than a year to ensure the rapid delivery of health services to the communities.
The selection will be carried out through National Public Bidding (LPN). Interested companies must prove technical qualification according to the specifications detailed in the notice. The documents can be obtained on the official website of PROSUS II/SESAB. It is mandatory to present a Declaration of Maintenance of the Offer along with the proposal, which must be physically delivered in Salvador by May 4, 2026.
Note: Tender documents and technical specifications are available in the official language of the country.
