Description
Suriname has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to partially finance the cost of the “Programme Of Support For The Population Census And The National Statistical System Of Suriname”. This bidding process, managed by the Ministry of Finance And Planning, invites eligible providers to submit sealed bids for specialized IT infrastructure.
Scope of Bids
- Procurement objective: Supply and installation of IT equipment intended for the installation and upgrade of data storage facilities for e-Government.
- Bidding framework: The process is conducted under the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures outlined in the IDB’s procurement policies.
- Submission options: Bidders are permitted to deliver their submissions either physically or electronically.
Qualification & Evaluation Requirements
- Eligibility: Bidders must be certified providers or partners and hold nationality from an eligible IDB member country.
- Technical experience: Verifiable experience in the supply and installation of enterprise-level data storage infrastructure, alongside an official manufacturer authorization.
- Project track record: Successful execution of a minimum of two (2) similar contracts within the past five (5) years. At least one (1) of these contracts must have a value equal to or greater than 70% of the estimated lot value.
- Financial & legal standing: Demonstrated financial capacity to fulfill the contract terms. Additionally, a Margin of Preference will be granted to national contractors or joint ventures according to the criteria in the bidding documents.
- Bid security: All proposals must be accompanied by a formal Bid Security Declaration.
