Description
The IDB intends to hire consulting services for the development of a solution that supports the functional performance of older adults with Dementia Syndromes through the use of Virtual Reality.
Services include:
- Review of evidence on cases of use of virtual reality in the field of dementia
- Analysis of user experience in order to understand the needs, profits and activities of the different user profiles that allow defining design guidelines that guarantee the adequate use of technology in this context and specific public and respond to the needs of the population goal considered in this project.
- Implementation of the information gathering strategy for the evaluation of the prototype.
- Digital design of the session program to support the treatment and rehabilitation process of elderly people with dementia syndromes in their homes
- Specifically with regard to software design, its development must include activities of: 1) Technical design that allows determining the development platform and proposing the architecture in order to guarantee the adequate development of a module to determine the profile of the patient and another containing the corresponding virtual reality sessions; 2) Modeling and rendering of previously defined objects and scenes according to the session schedule; 3) Animation of objects and creation of functionalities for interaction with the user; 4) Model lighting settings; 5) Development of the module to determine the patient's profile; 6) Functional, usability and security tests; 7) Application publication.
- Methodological transfer to the clinical teams of interest, ensuring that the delivery of the tool is accompanied by all the information and training necessary to enable users to use the tool autonomously.
