Description

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), in collaboration with the Biobío Regional Development and Productivity Committee (CDPR), the Biobío Madera Regional Strategic Program (PER) and Corfo, invites consulting firms to submit proposals for the design, implementation and demonstration of a functional traceability system for modular wood components for the construction of social housing in Chile.

The project is developed within the framework of the Bloqus Platform and seeks to establish a standardized, interoperable and scalable model for the monitoring of the complete cycle of components (manufacturing, transport, storage, assembly and maintenance) under distributed manufacturing schemes in SMEs.

1. Objectives and technical scope
Comprehensive traceability architecture: Design a functional model for the registration and unambiguous identification of wood components, guaranteeing full compatibility with the taxonomy and technical protocols of the Bloqus Platform.

Integration of technological components: Configure and temporarily integrate capture and tracking tools (unique tags, readers, sensors, cameras, gateways and associated software) for validation and operational demonstration purposes.

Compatibility with distributed manufacturing: Adapt the solution to operate in a decentralized manner in workshops of varying technological complexity, ensuring the continuity of the flow of data in multi-vendor networks.

Application in a social housing pilot: Generate technical and operational inputs applicable to the construction of a pilot project for a small social housing condominium in the Biobío Region.

2. Key Activities and Implementation
Survey and design of the model: Analyze the construction and regulatory standards for social housing, defining the functional architecture, information flows and data capture protocols.

Implementation and field testing: Install and configure the system in at least two (2) SMEs or real production environments to validate the operability, quality of records and interoperability of the components.

Demonstration exercise and visual recording: Execute a practical pilot on real components to audit and certify the complete life cycle through unique traceability and visual identification.

Articulation and technology transfer: Coordinate feedback instances with Corfo, PER Biobío Madera, construction companies and the Bloqus team, developing user manuals, training workshops and a public dissemination event.

3. Expected Products and Deliverables
Output 1 — System architecture and design: Document with the technical specifications of the traceability model, data structures and protocols for alignment with the Bloqus Platform.

Output 2 — SME Implementation Report: Operational validation report and functional tests carried out in at least two real production environments.

Output 3 — Record of the demonstration exercise: Visual record and documented evidence of the complete monitoring of components assigned to the social housing pilot.

Output 4 — Technical documentation and protocols: User manuals, hardware/software sheets, operation guides for SMEs and recommendations for scaling the model.

Output 5 — Dissemination and transfer plan: Communication materials, technical presentations and systematization of the socialization workshop with actors in the wood sector.

Note: Interested companies should review the requirements on the BEO Bidder Portal.
