Description
The Republic of Guatemala has requested financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the Sustainable Forest Management Project. The National Institute of Forests (INAB) is looking for consulting firms to design and execute a training program that strengthens the forestry-industrial sector, integrating regulatory, technical and administrative aspects with the demands of the current market.
Scope of Services
The technical consultancy includes four fundamental axes:
Methodological Design: Creation of a strategy with learning objectives, timelines and demonstrative practices in the field.
Specialized Contents: Development of manuals and didactic guides adapted culturally and linguistically.
Territorial Execution: Direct training in management areas to create "local multipliers" in the communities.
Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E): Implementation of pre- and post-tests to measure the real impact on the knowledge of producers.
Qualification Requirements
To make up the short list (5 to 8 firms), the following will be evaluated:
Rural Experience: Expertise in curricula and training plans designed specifically for adults in rural areas.
Interculturality: Proven ability to work in multilingual contexts, ensuring the participation of women, youth, and indigenous peoples.
Commercial Linkage: Previous experience connecting producers with formal markets and processing industries.
Legality: Accreditation of legal incorporation and representation with at least 10 years of recommended experience.
The selection will be made under the Quality and Cost Based Selection (SBCC) method.
Note: Tender documents and forms are available in the official language of the country.
