Description

The consulting services include N.V Surinaamsche Waterleiding Maatschappij (SWM), that evaluates contamination levels in underground water and the vulnerability, dangers, and risks in the Zanderij aquifer in La Vigilantia. The consultant must base their findings on the model recently developed under the Hydro-geological Evaluation of Aquifers to demonstrate contaimnant migration scenarios in the Zanderij aquifer in La Vigilantia and identify management or mitigation procedures in a robust and quantified framework to then provide decision making alternatives to SVM. The activities include sampling/monitoring of water quality and hydraulic flow models. The proposed evaluation must also improve decision making abilities for SVM to administer hydraulic resources and guarantee a trustworthy and affordable supply of drinking water in the La Vigilantia area. The estimated timeline to complete this task is eight months, beginning January 2019.
