Description
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) invites specialized consulting firms to submit their proposals for technical assistance in the structuring, design and preparation of the technical documents for a mission-critical Data Center for the State of El Salvador.
1. Scope and Key Activities
Site planning and selection: Develop the work plan and identify, evaluate and recommend the optimal location according to resilience, energy, physical security and connectivity criteria.
Preliminary design and conceptual engineering: Raise institutional requirements and define the technological architecture, functional program, operational continuity, scalability, energy efficiency and KPIs.
Investment Plan and Roadmap: Estimate implementation costs, structure the macro roadmap, and consolidate final technical documentation into editable formats.
2. Deliverables and Payments (Lump Sum - 12 Months)
Output 1 (15% / 15 days): Work plan, methodology, risk management and initiation report.
Output 2 (30%): Evaluation report, site selection and availability of services.
Output 3 (30%): Preliminary design and conceptual engineering of the Data Center.
Output 4 (25%): Final consolidated report, roadmap and investment estimate.
3. Signature and Team Requirements
Consulting firm: To accredit at least 3 mission-critical data center design/engineering projects in the last 10 years and 3 projects with international certifications.
Multidisciplinary team: Project Manager (+15 years exp.), Data Center Design Specialist (+10 years) and specialists in Electrical Engineering (+8 years), Mechanical/HVAC (+8 years), Civil/Architecture (+8 years) and Telecommunications/BMS (+7 years).
Modality: Remote and face-to-face in El Salvador. Language: Spanish. Supervision: Enrique Iglesias (IDB).
