Description
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), through its Andean Group Department (CAN), convenes consulting firms to develop a knowledge agenda on the socioeconomic impact and role of mining in economic growth at the national and regional levels, with a focus on Peru within the context of the region.
1. Agenda design and planning
- Strategic meetings: Meetings with key actors in the sector to identify relevant topics and research priorities in the region.
- Definition of research: Technical formulation of proposals for the realization of two specific studies based on the institutional needs detected.
2. Implementation and impact analysis
- Institutional coordination: Joint execution of research in direct collaboration with specialists from the IDB's CAN department.
- Growth Assessment: Analysis of the role of mining activity in the aggregate economy and documentation of specific cases of regional development.
3. Timeline of milestones and dissemination
- Initial phase (Weeks 2-6): Delivery of the analytical work plan in the second week, followed by the formal presentation of the proposals of the two studies in week six.
- Closing phase (Month 4): Completion of the technical execution of the research and implementation of the dissemination and dissemination activities of the results obtained.
