Description
The IDB intends to hire consulting services to support the implementation of the Universal Access to Energy Program, through the design and development of a virtual training course on the use of drones for electrical distribution and electrification applications for the team of the Rural Electrification Office of Panama.
Services include:
- Detailed design of the basic training course on the use of drones for electrical distribution and electrification applications, preparation of course materials, development of the virtual course and evaluation of its results.
- The course is estimated to last 20 hours, spaced over a period of two months, for 20 participants.
- The course must cover at least the following topics: introduction to drones, their specifications and software used, introduction to the use of drones in applications for the electricity sector, introduction to the use of drones for the electricity distribution and electrification sector, acquisition of topographical and geospatial data, data acquisition for monitoring the progress of power lines and mini-grids, data acquisition for the operation of power lines and supply systems such as solar systems, asset management, data management and interpretation, generation of knowledge based on the data obtained for decision making.
- The consultancy includes making a general evaluation of the results of the course to its participants.
